BICS Laboratories is an independent testing facility that has been established for over 24 years & we provide World Class tests on all Geosynthetics, Geotextiles & Geomembranes and other materials. We have carried out work in lots of different industries, such as: geotechnical, construction, engineering & many more. The company has been owned, run & developed by the same individuals since its inception.

BICS Laboratories is a UKAS accredited testing facility {No. 4438}. We are world leading & have satisfied customers in every corner of the globe. Our highly skilled technicians have many years of experience and are fully committed to providing a cost effective & professional service.

We are pioneers within our industry & continue developing new tests for our ever growing list of clients, with substantial repeat business due to our high standard of testing. With our clients being both near & far we pride ourselves on being the go-to facility for all testing requirements.

A Little Bit of History

BICS Laboratories was founded in 2001 by both Clifford Butt & Shazeena Iqbal

Mr Clifford Butt has a background in agriculture & served in the Armed Forces for a decade before moving into Quality Management. This was where he found his love for testing and he made sure that everything he tested was to the highest quality as he felt that was of paramount importance. He passed this level of testing on to every member of the BICS Laboratories team & this remains a key aspect during all activities. Shazeena now owns and runs the company to the same high standards and integrity.

Shazeena Iqbal, MSc., PgC. gained her master’s in Biomedical Science and because she felt that wasn’t enough she also went on to gain her Geotechnical Engineering Management qualification.
